How to Best Use a UV Grafting Tweezer Lamp

In fields like eyelash extensions, UV grafting tweezer lamps are extremely useful tools. They provide precise illumination and quickly cure glue, improving efficiency and quality. However, to fully utilize their capabilities, you must master the correct method of use. Below is a detailed introduction.

Before Use

Check the integrity of the device: After receiving your UV grafting tweezer lamp, carefully inspect the lamp for damage, such as cracked casing or loose lamp head. Check that the tweezers open and close smoothly. If any problems occur, it may affect operation and you should contact the vendor immediately for a replacement.

Confirm power adapter: Voltages vary by region. Before use, be sure to verify that the power supply voltage matches the required voltage of the tweezer lamp. A mismatch can damage the lamp and even pose a safety risk. If you purchased a rechargeable tweezer lamp, ensure it is fully charged.

Cleaning Tools: Gently wipe the lamp head and tweezers with a clean, soft cloth to remove any dust or stains. Especially around the lamp head, any impurities may affect the light’s effectiveness and, in turn, the glue’s curing process.

Specific Instructions

Power on the device: Connect the power cord or turn on the rechargeable tweezer lamp.

Adjust the angle and distance: Position the area to be grafted (such as the base of the lashes) appropriately and aim the tweezer lamp’s head at it. Generally, a distance of 3-5 cm between the lamp head and the work area is ideal. This distance ensures sufficient light without causing localized heat buildup that could affect the glue’s performance or burn the skin. Also, adjust the angle of the tweezer lamp so that the light shines evenly and directly on the work area to avoid shadows.

Applying glue and applying: Use tweezers to grasp the false eyelashes and apply an appropriate amount of glue. Then, graft them onto your natural lashes. The glue will begin to cure under UV light. Be careful not to move the false eyelashes until the glue is fully cured, as this may cause them to shift and affect the result.

Control the exposure time: Different brands and types of glue require different curing times. Typically, the glue exposure time is between 2 and 5 seconds. Always follow the glue product’s instructions to set the exposure time. Too short an exposure time will result in insufficient glue curing, which can easily cause the false eyelashes to fall off. Too long an exposure time may overcure the glue, making it brittle and easily break.

Multiple-area treatment and adjustment: If you need to perform grafting on multiple areas, after completing one area, move the tweezer lamp to the next and repeat the above steps. During the treatment process, adjust the angle and distance of the tweezer lamp according to the light conditions and ease of use to ensure even and adequate illumination for each area.

Post-use maintenance

Shutting down the device: After completing the treatment, turn off the UV grafting tweezer lamp. If the lamp is rechargeable, recharge it immediately after turning it off for the next use. If the lamp is plug-in, turn it off and unplug it.

Cleaning the device: Gently wipe the lamp head and tweezers with a cotton ball to remove any residual glue, stains, etc. For tough stains, use a dedicated cleaner, but be careful to avoid getting the cleaner inside the lamp. After cleaning, store the tweezer lamp in a dry, well-ventilated area to avoid moisture that could affect its lifespan.

Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Periodically, perform a thorough inspection of your UV grafting tweezer lamp to check for proper lamp brightness and smooth opening and closing of the tweezers. If you notice a significant decrease in lamp brightness, it may be due to aging of the lamp beads and requires prompt replacement.
