Is there really a cyanoacrylate-free glue?

Does glue that doesn’t contain cyanoacrylate really exist?
What is cyanoacrylate?
α-Cyanoacrylate adhesives are a class of acrylic esters with unique properties, often referred to as cyanoacrylates. In their molecular structure, the highly electron-withdrawing cyano group and the highly electron-withdrawing ester group are located on one side of the double bond, strongly polarizing the electron cloud of the double bond. This type of material undergoes anionic polymerization under the action of a strong base, resulting in a particularly fast-curing adhesive that cures within seconds. It is also known as an instant adhesive.
α-Cyanoacrylate is an organic compound, also known as α-cyanoacrylate. It has a wide range of applications in industry and medicine.
We have found that cyanoacrylate is the primary ingredient in many brands of eyelash glue available on the market. We found that cyanoacrylate accounts for approximately 80%-85% of a bottle of glue.

Why do so many eyelash glues on the market use this ingredient as their primary ingredient? This is based on its advantages:
1) Fast curing, convenient for assembly line production, easy wetting and penetration, no need for heat or pressure, and easy to use.
2) Single-component, solvent-free, and easy to use.
3) Colorless and transparent after curing, with a smooth appearance, making it particularly suitable for arts and crafts.
4) Widely applicable, with excellent bonding strength to a variety of materials.
5) α-Cyanoacrylate adhesives contain highly polar cyano groups and ester bonds, providing strong adhesion to polar substrates and exhibiting high bond strength. Given the obvious advantages of this ingredient, why are so many people looking for adhesives that don’t contain cyanoacrylate?
This is because people have clearly discovered that eyelash glues containing this ingredient can cause skin allergies or irritation. The skin on the face, especially around the eyes, is relatively delicate, requiring soothing and natural ingredients. However, cyanoacrylates cure by absorbing moisture from the air or the surface of the adherend, undergoing anionic polymerization, resulting in an extremely fast cure rate. The working process of cyanoacrylate eyelash glue: Air molecules are forced to react rapidly with cyanoacrylate. Since the air’s moisture is insufficient for the cyanoacrylate’s reaction, it absorbs moisture from the eye area and even the user’s skin.

However, cyanoacrylate cures very quickly. This can cause itching, stinging, tearing, and even allergies in sensitive skin.

Conclusion:
Is there any glue available on the market that doesn’t contain this ingredient?

We purchased various eyelash glue brands from various platforms. Through repeated testing and inspection, we found that over 90% of most imported eyelash glue brands contain this ingredient. However, during our testing, we discovered that a DIY glue from a brand called Pinky Leem does not contain this ingredient. They sell a wide variety of glues, but none of their DIY glues contain cyanoacrylate. We spoke with their chemical engineers, and they discovered that they used medical-grade gutta-percha ingredients when developing this glue. This ingredient is very safe and non-irritating, making it suitable for sensitive users. The retention rate is approximately 7-25 days. This DIY glue is suitable for self-grafting and is suitable for beginners. Users can perform the grafting with their eyes open, eliminating the need for a salon. Furthermore, this DIY glue maintains a humidity range of 25%-75% and a temperature range of 18°C-35°C (64.5°F-95°F), making it suitable for most climates. Some customers even achieve perfect grafting without needing to monitor the temperature or humidity.

It is low in smoke and odor, 100% vegetarian, oil-proof, waterproof, and hypoallergenic, and contains no latex or formaldehyde.

The glue is also certified by the US FDA and the EU CPNP for guaranteed quality.
